All last week, Gabriel has been sick. We would wake up, and I would think he was fine, and the next thing you know, daycare is calling and asking me to pick him up from fevers. After a few times, I just started bringing him back to work.
The teachers said he was unusually quiet, and laying on the floor falling asleep while everyone else was playing. That's not like him. So, at first I would leave work early and take him home, but after a couple times, I began to bring him back to work with me, and what do you know? You would never guess he was sick. He made sure to keep us all entertained in the office, by finding some sort of trouble to get himself into. I can't say it was completely his fault; my office manager, Elain, had a hand in it....
Don't be alarmed, she unplugged the shredder, and showed him that the top came off. Thanks, Elaine. Before you knew it, he got some bright ideas on just what kind of fun that bin of white "snowy" stuff could be.
It's really fun to throw on Mommy, you know?
He made a huge mess out of our office, but what the hell. It was slow, and it was Friday at almost closing time. Besides, housekeeping would be there that night to clean up. And for those of you who know my job situation, you gotta have fun at a crappy job like that...I don't know. I think Gabriel was playing hooky, cause he sure doesn't look sick to me. But just for the record, he really was. He's just getting over a really bad ear infection and nast cold. And now, I'm home sick from catching it!
video to come tomorrow? I'm having problems right now uploading a cute video of Gabriel and my receptionist, Ms. Jean, having fun with the "snow."
