I Got Hired!
Well, First Coast Homes hired me on to be their Community Specialist at Stoney Creek. It's a pretty nice neighborhood, and very close to home. Today I stopped by Prudential's main office to complete paperwork on switching offices. I know this is kind of funny to say, but one of the things that made me hesitate on moving forward with new construction is my very awesome office and broker. I know I'll still be talking to some of them on a fairly regular basis, but I have to admit that we have the rockin'est office, by far. Anyway, cool people don't pay the bills, so I happily accepted the offer to switch divisions.
So far there is tons for me to learn. The paperwork is different, and I keep having to remind myself that I'm not in resales. Hopefully by the next couple of weeks, I'll have the swing of things and I'll feel more comfortable with being left alone on site.
Last weekend I braved running the bridge since my last bridge run 2 years ago. This was actually the first time I'd been on the new bridge, and I think I've convinced myself that I've really got lots of work to do. LOTS. The incline on this bridge is a bitch, and being totally out of shape doesn't help the situation. I'm sure I won't be running record time, but who cares. I'm there.
Anyway, I'm excited to see how I'll do in New Homes. Much to learn, but still excited.
